We designed RNP approaches to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (EHAM) is gradually implementing PBN procedures in their ATM systems. In line with the European PBN mandate, the Netherlands has developed its own National PBN Roadmap to, among other activities, rationalize the local navigation infrastructure. One of the tasks is to design and implement RNP approaches, to be used as a back-up for ILS operations or to replace conventional non-precision approaches so that NDBs may be removed. This project included the design of RNP approaches (with LNAV, LNAV/VNAV and LPV minima) for RWY 06, 18C, 24 and 36R. These procedures will be published in the Dutch eAIP.
