UTM support Dutch ANSP – LVNL

The safe integration of unmanned aviation into controlled airspace is one of the key challenges for the future of aviation in the Netherlands. As the Dutch ANSP, LVNL plays a central role in enabling this transition while safeguarding the safety, efficiency and continuity of existing air traffic operations.

For several years, MovingDot has supported (and still is supporting) LVNL within its Unmanned Aviation program, providing expertise at strategic, operational and technical levels.

Geo-zone Implementation in CTRs

One of the key areas until 2025 has been the development and implementation of drone geo-zones in Control Zones (CTRs). These geo-zones help create clearer operating conditions for drone operators, reduce workload for air traffic control and enable safer access to controlled airspace.

MovingDot has supported with a Senior Designer the concept development, internal stakeholder alignment, operational design and implementation approach for these initiatives. At the end, the initiative is handed over to internal departments for finalizing the final design and start the implementation phase.

Common Information Service and UTM Capabilities

MovingDot experts have also played an important role as Business Architect in the planning and implementation of Common Information Service (CIS) and supplementary UTM services. These services form essential building blocks for the future integration of drones, enabling better information sharing, situational awareness and scalable operations.

Our support includes concept design, architecture development and operational translation of technical requirements into workable solutions.
